Golf DaysScotland's historical connection with the game of golf, brings many overseas visitors to our prestigious hotels, with the aim of playing as many of the well known courses as possible.
Many of these famous courses are located several hours drive from the hotels, so the use of helicopters provide a fast, comfortable alternative. For example, Turnberry to Machrihanish which takes 4-5 hours by road, is reduced to just 20 minutes by helicopter! We have also fitted external pods to a number of our helicopters, allowing golf clubs to be carried outside the passenger cabin, so greatly improving space and passenger comfort. The use of helicopters allows golfers to play 2 courses in a day returning to their hotel at night, as well as offering a transfer service between the hotels and golf courses. The table below is a guide to some of the options available from the main hotels.
